On November 23rd, we decided to “re-brand" our website and organize a celebration giveaway together with it. The friendly folks at LastPass decided to sponsor us with 7 one year subscriptions to their PRO service. Today it is time to announce the lucky winners. Read on to find out if you are one of them.

The Procedure

We asked our readers to subscribe to our e-mail newsletters (the daily newsletter or the weekly newsletter, depending on their preference). We exported the list of subscribers from both newsletters to Microsoft Excel and then asked it to identify the duplicate subscribers.
We wanted to make sure people who subscribed to both newsletters (in an attempt to get higher chances of winning) have only one entry, not two, so we removed one of the duplicates. We ended up with exactly 800 unique entries - all people having chances to win one of the prizes.

Then, we asked Microsoft Excel to assign a number to each entry in the giveaway and used Random.org to generate the random numbers of the seven lucky winners, plus four backup winners, in case some of them do not reply or are not interested in the prize.

They will be contacted shortly via e-mail, so that they receive their prizes. If any of them doesn’t answer within a week or is not interested in the prize, the prizes will be automatically given to the backup winners.
