As of today, 7 Tutorials is officially repositioning itself as a website dedicated to Windows users in general, not only Windows 7 in particular. To celebrate the change, we decided to partner with LastPass, who agreed to sponsor our readers.
When we launched the website, 28 months ago, our message was 7 Tutorials - Genuine Help for Windows 7. Since then, we heavily covered Windows 7 and we did our best to provide genuine help to our readers.
With the launch of Windows 8 Developer Preview, we started testing this operating system and we wrote a few articles about it. Now that Microsoft and the rest of the tech world prepares for next year’s Windows 8 launch, we would like to do the same and express our change in focus from Windows 7 to Windows in general.
What does this mean for our readers? For the next few weeks - not a lot of change. Long term though, you should expect us to cover more than just Windows 7. When the beta of Windows 8 will launch sometime in January, we will cover this operating system more often. If all goes well and we manage to increase both our team and our audience, chances are you will see us writing about other Windows operating systems as well. However, this is uncertain at this point in time.
We decided to change our message to 7 Tutorials - Help & How To for Windows. This due to the fact that we want to highlight also that we provide lots of "how to" style articles for our readers. This change should make it clear what our site is about and also help us rank higher in some search results.
The folks from the LastPass team have offered to sponsor us with 7 one-year subscriptions to their LastPass Pro service. The benefits of this service include, among many things, synchronisation with all the major smartphone & tablet platforms (Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Symbian, WebOS, etc.) and priority support. For the complete list of goodies offered on top of their free service, check out this page: LastPass - Premium Features.

If you want to know more about this product and the benefits of using it, check out these two articles: Password Security - Turn Your Dumb Habits Into Geek Habits, LastPass - How to Import and Export Passwords.
All you have to do is subscribe to our e-mail newsletter service, by the 4th of December, 2011. We have two e-mail newsletters: a daily newsletter and a weekly newsletter.
Please subscribe only to one of them. The only difference between the newsletters is the frequency of receiving e-mails. There is no need to subscribe to both, as it will not increase your chances of winning.
All existing e-mail newsletter subscribers do not need to do anything. They will be automatically included in the giveaway.
The seven winners have been announced on December 5: The 7 Winners of LastPass PRO Subscriptions.
