If you are reading us for more than 2-3 weeks, you most probably know about our series on Windows 7 networking. We believe we've covered most scenarios which would be helpful to our readers but we also might have missed certain topics which are of interest to you. Therefore, we would like to ask you to complete a 30 seconds survey and tell us about your home network: how many computers you have, which operating systems you use, what kind of devices you are sharing over the network, which are the most annoying network problems you encountered.

Home is REVERSE of office
Home is REVERSE of office networking.
Yeah, I don't get time to read and miss a lot, like this poll. But a closing comment from me is that I don't think IT has a real concept of what home-networking is. Its the reverse of office networking in terms of interactivity and security. In an office I don't want Sally to run my computer, at home Sally can run it all she needs cause she's my daughter!
BASICALLY Security Management for a home network is abhorrent! The more I try to "fix" it with the lack of concise and applicable info and "help" files the more a mess it becomes.
Home Network security should be at the router and otherwise open between all the computers and accessories on the network BY DEFAULT, especially if in the same workgroup. If I don't want a family member to access my computer then let that be something I change, not the default! I hope to find answers in TinyHackers articles.
