Irina Iacob's pictures showcase a fascination with the human figure and urban settings. A tireless photographer of beautiful people, industrial backdrops and a combination between nature and decay, 26 year-old Irina currently resides in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where she studied Theatre and Television at Babes-Bolyai University's Faculty of Theatre. However, after graduating, her passion for photography took her in another direction. Her love of theatre has remained one of her chief interests though along with cinema, music and, of course, photography. Bernhard Geier's photos, most of them taken in his native region of Salzburg, Austria, showcase nature at its most mysterious, hidden between banks of mist, clouds and snow, forever out of reach and unknowable. The 36-year old Austrian believes he was blessed to live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world and he is constantly inspired by what he sees around him. He works in the printing plant of a local newspaper in the pre-press sector, where he also has the chance to use his favorite photo editing program - Adobe Photoshop. Bucharest-born Oana Roxana aka Yuuza, already has a loyal following on deviantART. Her illustrations combine an Asian inspired drawing style with themes taken from Romanian stories and legends. They show a talent for decorative art and a great attention to detail. Her drawings don't just focus on the figures and characters, but all that surrounds and represents them from clothes patterns to backgrounds and stylized scenery. Andrew Shoemaker, Nebraska-born but currently residing on the Californian coast, wants to travel the world and capture its beauty through his viewfinder. For now he has started closer to home. His seascapes, showing a bright, vivacious world of Californian beaches and Hawaiian paradises, have already gathered a large number of fans. Originally an automotive technician, he’s branched out into photography professionally and hopes that one day he will be able to exhibit his work in galleries. SSquared-Photography, the duo of Poland born Slavo Janowski and Italy born Stefano Canali, are a self-taught team of photographers currently based in Ireland. Tomasz Huczek’s photographs are full of spectacular landscapes, tumultuous seas and starry skies, a vibrant world showcasing nature at its most beautiful. The 27 year old Polish national left his home country for the beautiful beaches of Cyprus where he discovered his passion for photography. He believes that the best photographs happen only at the right time and place and he is always patiently waiting for that moment. Eugen Males, the 25 year-old lead vocalist and guitarist of up and coming post rock band "Fluturi pe Asfalt" (Butterflies on the Asphalt), has a passion for photography and all visual design and believes in the beauty that chance brings to photography. Dan Gheban's photographs take you on a whirlwind adventure from dizzying panoramas through storms, fog and clouds to the intricate frailty of microscopic life. It's only natural, the 50 year old anatomical pathologist and amateur photographer from Cluj-Napoca claims, since optical systems and the microscopic world are a part of his everyday life and constitute the tools of his trade, not just of his photographic pursuits. József Vass is a 25-year-old graphic artist and illustrator, living in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He is of Hungarian origins and his name – József - is the Hungarian for Joseph. He graduated with a Bachelor of Design and Fine Arts and he is now working as a graphics designer for iOS games. We stumbled upon his freshly created Facebook page and very much enjoyed his work. Therefore we invited him to join our series of interview and Windows themes.

Alexandru Nicusor Matei is a 22-year-old Romanian photojournalist and photographer. He has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication and entered the world of professional photography two years ago. His dream is to do social and war photojournalism because he says it is the “toughest, most exhausting type of photography (both from a mental and physical perspective)”.
